In June 2005, Moss wore black Hunter wellies at Glastonbury Festival, pairing them with extremely short shorts and a vest. She recalled seeing knee-deep mud in the fields before leaving home, prompting her to grab the Hunter boots from her wardrobe. The look quickly became a festival fashion staple, cementing the boot’s status as essential for music and outdoor lovers.
Iconic by Nature: The 2026 Autumn Campaign
For the new campaign, Moss wears reimagined versions of the classic boot, showcasing its versatility. Titled „Iconic by Nature,” the global launch for autumn 2026 honors Hunter’s past while looking confidently to the future. The imagery captures individuality, instinct, and effortless attitude, blending the brand’s utilitarian roots with Moss’s unique style through a modern lens, inspired by rural landscapes and culture.
Heritage and Relevance Are Interwoven
Stefani Fleurant, Executive Vice President for Marketing, Sport and Lifestyle at Authentic Brands Group, Hunter’s owner, stated the brand never had to choose between heritage and cultural relevance. These elements have always been interconnected, and Moss embodies this synergy in a way few others can. Her relationship with Hunter began organically over twenty years ago and has become integral to the brand’s story. Her return for the 170th anniversary celebrates this history and signals Hunter’s future direction.
The 170th Anniversary Collection
The anniversary includes the autumn 2026 collection, which merges past, present, and future by combining heritage icons, modern design, and technical innovation beyond traditional rubber boots. In Europe, the centerpiece is the Original Tall Wellington for the 170th Anniversary in Hunter Green—a faithful recreation of the original model, retaining the brand’s signature color. The commemorative edition features gold-tone details and the original heritage inscription reading „since 1856.”
European and North American Offerings
The European range also includes the Downpour Tall boot in black and the Chelsea boot in Neopren Elements, both in black shades, alongside three jacket options. Products are organized around three defining pillars: Heritage, Contemporary, and Innovation, reflected in the Originals, Downpour, and Elements collections. For the United States and Canada, the collection evolves Hunter’s distinct design codes. Here, the Original Tall Wellington in black crocodile is presented alongside the Giania boot in waterproof suede in chocolate brown and the Maribel Puffy Snow Bootie in brown tones, offering a varied style range for North American clients.
